I’m sharing my go-to recipe for this iced spring and summer favorite featuring Naked Zero Matcha, because why settle for anything less than pure perfection?

First things first, let's talk about ingredients. 

INGREDIENTS

For this concoction, you'll need:

Naked Zero Matcha: This premium matcha powder is the main character, boasting a smooth, earthy flavor and a vibrant green hue that's as visually pleasing as it is delicious. Free from all the nasties and totally naked, that’s the Naked Zero way

Milk of your choice: Whether you prefer creamy oat milk, silky almond milk, or classic dairy, that's all you! Opt for whatever fits your lifestyle.

Sweetener (optional): If you have a sweet tooth, feel free to add a touch of sweetness with your favorite sweetener. Honey (my personal favorite), agave nectar, or simple syrup work perfectly. Pro tip - mix your sweetener into your matcha directly before pouring over milk!

Ice cubes: Essential for transforming your matcha latte into a refreshing, chilled treat.

A whisk or frother: To ensure your matcha is perfectly blended and frothy, a traditional matcha  whisk or frother is a must-have tool.

PROCESS

Now that we've gathered our ingredients, let's dive into the step-by-step process:

Step 1: Measure and sift your Naked Zero Matcha powder into a glass or mug. Sifting helps break up any clumps and ensures a silky smooth texture.

Step 2: Add a splash of hot or room temp water  to your matcha powder. (Not boiling because you will burn your matcha... that's where you get that "grassy" taste matcha haters talk about!) Use a whisk to gently whisk the mixture  in a “Z-like” motion  until it forms a smooth, vibrant green paste with a beautiful foam layer on top. This step, known as "making a matcha shot," helps release the flavors and aromas of the matcha. 

Step 3: If you're adding sweetener, now's the time to do it! Drizzle in your desired amount into your matcha shot and give it another whisk to ensure it's evenly distributed. 

Step 4: Fill a glass with ice cubes. Feel free to add as much or as little ice as you like – it's all about personal preference!

Step 5: Now it's time to add your milk of choice and slowly pour over your matcha shot. To finish grab your glass straw or whisk and give your matcha latte a final stir to incorporate everything together and create a delightful froth on top.
